Sept. 29 – Oct. 3


High-Frequency Words: four, get, eat, into, must

Phonics/ Spelling: short u (rub, tub, run)

Math: Finish Unit 2: Addition and Subtraction up to 10 and begin Unit 3: Time to the Hour

Important Dates:
*September 26th – progress reports, DRA and PAPI forms all come home (Please sign and return all forms)
*October 6-17th – PTO fundraiser
*October 13th – Columbus Day student holiday
*October 23rd – Papa John’s Teacher Delivery Night

Our P.E. days are Monday/Wednesday/Friday.  Please wear
safe shoes!

I am sending home DRA and PAPI forms, please sign them and return by Monday. If you will just return them all, I will separate them and send you a copy.
Progress reports are also coming home.  Areas of concern have an X on them.  Sign the report at the bottom and cut it off.  You can keep the top part to help you know things to work on with your child.

*I am working on decorating an area in our classroom.  I would like to put family photos on it.  If you have one you wouldn’t mind sending to me that would be great! It can be any size and any kind of picture.
*I am hoping to begin sending home readers next week.  I have a few more individual assessments to give and then we will start our reading groups.  Please look for the plastic “envelopes” to come home.  This will contain your child’s reader for the night and a reading log.  Please sign and return the next day.  If you have any questions, let me know.
